Luma is an unlucky fellow and we enJOY new company

Hello my cute mauw-mauws,

this posts focus will be about my lovely pet rats again. ^__^

Luma is an unlucky fellow:

As I wrote in the post "omg-she-looks-like-peachy", the integration of Luma seemed to be a bit more difficult. During their daily run Vanilla and Carli seem to be on good terms with Luma. But not so when I set them back again in their aviary. It is okay, when you hear the rats squeling a bit... but Luma was screaming! It just didn't worked by now. Vanilla and Luma do not liked each other. I decided to separate Luma from Vanilla and Carli - maybe Luma was to young by now. After a while, I decided to try the final integration again but it didn't worked that well again. Vanilla's territorial behaviour was way too much. Due to the fact, that Carli and Luma came along greatly, I decided to set Vanilla in a separate cage for a few days. I felt so sorry for Luma and then for Vanilla also, because they had to sit by day all alone in the cage. =( But in the end, it was worth: In my third attempt the integration was successful! I was so delighted!

Carli, Vanill and Luma are tired - gosh, how little Luma was back then... <3

But my delight soon disappeared: I discovered little white "pimple" on Luma's cute ears. Unfortunately, the veterinarian confirmed my speculation: Luma got Itch Mites (german: Grabmilben)! I can't explain myself where she got that from, I'd Luma for already a month back then. My veterinarian told me that the mites maybe came along with some food I bought, but with the expection of sticks (Knabberstangen) I am buying only food which is shrink-wrapped to avoid such issues (f. e. a moth infestation). In order to prevent a further infection of Vanilla and Carli, I had to cure the two also with the "Spot On"-compound the veterinarian gave me.

You can see the "achievement" of the mites clearly at this photo of Luma

Well, as I then went back home with Luma again, Carli and Vanilla had to snuffle Luma intensely. Luma didn't seeemed to like it that much and Vanilla was getting cruder. And then, somehow Vanilla must had scratch Luma. Luma didn't squeled but my boyfriend watched them meanwhile and as Luma went out of the red house for drinking a bit, Don saw a pretty big red wound.

The wound looks terrible, but Luma didn't had any pain
Luma didn't seemed to have any pain, she was acting as always and seemed to be confused why we were holding her and observing her back that intensely. Meanwhile, the veterinarians had already closed, so I called my mom and luckily she had some "powder" antibiotics left (Im really glad that my mom is pretty experienced in rat issues). The wound didnt't bled at all, it was a superficial injury, only the first layer of Lumas skin was injured. To prevent an inflammation of the wound, I had to separate Luma from Vanilla and Carli again - if I had not separate Luma, Vanilla and Carli would have licked Luma's wound! I was really frustrated! Poor, little Luma-Chan! Thankfully, the wound healed pretty quickly up and the mites were defeated also pretty fast. Integration No.4 could start now and it worked perfectly!  By now they are almost unseparably, even Vanilla and Luma! All's well that end ends well!

We enJOY new company:

Almost a week ago my sister asked me whether I can take care for a whileof Joy Snow, one of her pet rats. My sister was holding two pet rats and Luma's sister, named Ophelia, was gravid and birthed babies. In order that Ophelia has the calm to care for her babies I accepted for adopting. She is pretty young and she disturbed Ophelia by caring for her babies immensely.

little Joy Snow
Joy is really nosy but she still didn't felt that comfortable when we're holding her but I guess it is just a matter of time and then she will like it. =) Joy is, like Luma, a Dumbo pet rat, eventhough Luma's ears are even more on the side of her head. As you can see below, Luma and Joy come along greatly with each other, but Carli and Vanilla still need a little more time to "accept" Joy as a temporarily new pack member.

How could you NOT just love Luma and Joy?! MEGA CUTE!!

Till then, the four are only having their daily run all four together and Joy had to stay by day in a separate cage.

Vanilla, Luma, Joy and Carli are <3 yoghurt

Japanse Tuin Hasselt - Japanese Garden Hasselt

Hello my dear mauw-mauws,

Don and I visited the Japanese Garden in Hasselt, Belgium (Japanse Tuin) last thursday. I planned to visit this garden for a long time and now I finally had the time to visit it (I had holidays last monday and from wednesday to friday, too). It was also a perfect oppurtinity to wear my Wa-Lolita Outfit again. ^__^ The Japanse Tuin in Hasselt (Belgium) is about 1 1/2 hours away from my hometown. The garden was built in 1992 thanks to the warm relationship to Hasselt's sister town Itami (Japan). This year is also the 20-year-anniversary of the garden and for that reason there were a lot of various events - but not so on the day we went there. Fortunately, so I or we had the oppurtinity to take great photos without having other people on it.

One of my favourite photos is this one here below:

I think it looks a bit like we were in Japan. When Im looking at the photos, I simply can't await to visit Japan next summer. It is really one of my biggest dreams. It may sounds nerdy, but I hope I do not burst into tears that moment when I will feel for the first time japanese ground under my feet, I'm pretty sentimental in such things. X'D But, well, in the meantime, those beautiful japanese garden had to bridge my longing for Japan.

Back on topic: The Japanese Garden in Hasselt is beautiful but unlike the two Japanese Garden in Duesseldorf you have to pay admission (5,00€). And it was not that easy to find the garden in Hasselt. We used our navigation guide to find the garden, but the adress they state on their official page guided us into a nearby street, still about 1km away. Luckily we saw shortly afterwards a pretty little sign which guided us in the end to the japanese garden. The garden itself was not well-signposted, I can't get it why Hasselt do not bring on bigger and brighter signs. I think the garden is the most beautiful thing you can see in Hasselt - Hasselt itself do not looked that interesting or beautiful at all.

When entering the garden you first went along a traditional japanese looking arch:

Next up we were greeted by the probably biggest Koi's I have ever seen in my life:

They were pretty trusting and seemto expect that we would feed them. Those big Koi's must worth a fortune! As we avert our gaze from the beautiful Koi's away this waterfall caught our attention:

We went through the garden and along the river and took more photos:

lovely Don <3

Don't you think the colours of autumn are beautiful? The perception of this day for me was the fact that I really had to visit Japan in autumn, too. Maybe I can do this even in autumn 2014! ^__^ ~ I really felt in love with this play of colors.

The garden also had a miniaturised Shinto - Temple (maybe it is a Hokora?). Inside the temple were hanging a lot of origami cranes.

A Shinto - Temple is a sort of building or structure where one or more Kami (Gods) are enshrined.

The japanese garden in Hasselt was worth to be seen, eventhough we spent more time in our car for the arrival and departure. But I guess, I like the Eko Garden in Duesseldorf even more. I can't describe really why, but I have the impression that the Eko Garden in Duesseldorf got a greater japanese atmosphere - the garden in Hasselt appeared in a way to clean and blank.

Thank you for your company, Don!

Frankfurter Buchmesse Book Fair 2012 and my birthday party

Hello my lovely lovely mauw-mauws,

by my standards I am already quite late with a new post - sorry - but here it is (finally).

Last saturday was my 23rd birthday and I invited my boyfriend Don and my besties Kuraude and Mochi to visit the Frankfurter Buchmesse / Frankfurt Book Fair. We visited the Book Fair for the very first time and we really enjoyed the day and had a lot of fun! ^__^ Because it was my birthday, I asked my friends in advance if we could Cosplay our "Super Mario"-Cosplay Group again. I am glad that they all agreed.

YAY! Super Mario for the world!

We attract a lot of attention at the Book Fair with our Cosplay's - I expected that people would come and ask us for a few photos but, ooh my~, sometimes it was simply impossible to walk 2 or 3 metres without being asked for photos. U__U This was really wicked.

One of our maingoals was to visit the Nintendo fair stands. They presented their upcoming "WiiU" and upcoming games, f. e. New Super Mario Bros. U or NintendoLand, but also several new Nintendo3DS games. I guess, you can surely imagine that the Nintendo-Staff was delighted seeing us in our Super Mario Cosplay's! =D

I / we played the following Games:

Nintendo Land (WiiU): We only played "Luigis Ghost Mansion". One gamer has the control of the Ghost by using the WiiU GamePad and the other of up to four using the Wii Mote and controlling the Mii characters. Your aim when playing as the ghost is to catch all the Mii's from behind and make them faint, whereas the Mii's have to find and defeat the ghost with their flaslights. The tricky thing is, that the Mii's can't see the ghost on the screen and can only "feel" the presence of the ghost thought the rumble of their Wii Motes. The controler of the ghost plays vis the display of the WiiU GamePad. The Game was pretty funny and I guess it would be a nice here and there game which you can play and enjoy together with your friends.
My résumé: MUST BUY!

New Super Mario Bros. U (WiiU): Did I ever mentioned that I totally loved the New Super Mario Bros. -Game for the Wii? We (Mochi, Don, Kuraude and I) played this game for hours and like in Luigis Ghost Mansion, you can play this game with up to five players. Up to four player using the Wii Mote and controlling eather Mario, Luigis or one of the two Toads and one extra player can assist the characters by creating for example platforms to help the other players to reach tricky or hidden stages. For that the extra player has to use the WiiU GamePad.My impression is that this "new" New Super Mario Bros. U will be a bit more trickier but I can't wait to accept this challenge *TAR TAR*! ^O^
My résumé: MUST BUY!

Luigi, Princess Peach, Toadette and Mario checking out the New Super Mario Bros. U

Pokemon Tasten Abenteuer / Typing Adventure (3DS): Pokemon! I felt in love with this game as I saw the trailer for the first time. The japanese version of the game is even more interesting because there you have to read the Hiragana characters and then type in the romaji letters. A pity that this difficulty is cancelled in the western versions - it would be such a good practice for me ^__^ . Well, nevertheless, the game can be tricky enough because you have to type the upshowing letters as fast as you can to get higher scores. For me, as fully trained businesswoman for management and office communication it is, of course, pretty easy to hit high scores... ^___^ Maybe I should write a few word to the keyboard, too: Nintendo sells the game with an own white keyboard. The keyboard is smaller than a usual keyboard and I guess that especially men could have some problems with the keyboard, because the keys are not very big or wide.
My résumé: MUST BUY!

I was so happy that I again got the chance to play WiiU again. <3 If you want to read about other already checked out WiiU Games, please have a look at my Gamescom 2012 - Post. =)

As I menioned above, we get asked almost every few metres for photos. I guess we will be also in a local newspaper next saturday. Well, but at one time or another I noticed that I or WE didn't even took any photos of us really by now - and it was already about 4:00pm. So, we decided to went back to one of the entry halls to take a few photos of us by our own:

Job is done - Mario and Luigi

"yay, the Princess is finally not in the palace, so I can do whatever I want"

By the way, I updated my entry about my Princess Peach Cosplay, you can have a look at it here.

We also appear in a video full of great Cosplay(er)s being at the Frankfurter Buchmesse. You can see the video here: Frankfurter Buchmesse 2012 - Cosplay Video
We make an appearance starting from 2:54 - 3:07 min <3

We really had a great day at the Book Fair and I am really lucky that I could spent my birthday there. <3
I t was great to see a few of your Con-friends again. It was probably the last time in 2012, the Convention period is now over.

Towards 6:45pm we started driving back home. During the ride I played a bit Pokemon Weiß/White 2 Don presented me at my birthdays morning. I really love the game. Due to the fact that Frankfurt is not that near to Aachen, we finally went back home around 9:30pm. As I then entered our kitchen, I get surprised:

My mum brought her presents for me already and decorated the kitchen.
I didn't expected that because I invited her for sundays. ^__^ Im pretty nosy so I unpacked all her presents that evening, she gave me a fluffy Hello Kitty winter beanie, a Hello Kitty pyjama, two Hello Kitty undershirts, a Hello Kitty Plushie, an Hello Kitty advent calendar and lots of sweets.

Moreover, Mochi and Kuraude gave me their presents that evening, too. You can see (almost) all presents on the last photo below.

On sundays, I invited my family, Kuraude, Mochi and Gia for celebrating my yesterdays birthdays! ^__^

It was a relaxed afternoon / evening and it was great to have everyone in one spot. <3

Tar tar tar and here are (almost) all my birthday presents:

Flowers: present of my dad
1st Hello Kitty Plushie with Lollipop: mum
2nd Hello Kitty Plushie with Lollipop: Gia

Besides, there is one more gift missing on the photo which I will receive from Don in the next few weeks. Im pretty excited what this could be?!

4th Aix-La-Chapelle Lolita Meet-Up

Hello my lovely mauw-mauws,

The Aix-la-Chapelle Lolita Meet-Up series seems to have good prospects. Last saturday already the 4th Aix-La-Chapelle Lolita Meet-Up took place. This time the main responsibility was mine again and we've met up in Aachen to visit the pretty new, but very popular, Cuperella Cafe admidst in Aachen's historic town.

Once again, Aachen lived up it's reputation, so it was raining. But at least I should be thankful that it wasn't that rainy this time like it was during our previous Aix-la-Chapelle Meet-Up we had in Jülich.

Due to the fact, that the weather was so NOT great for taking pictures we've spent the most of the time at the Cuperella but afterwards we still got the chance to take a group picture:

But, let's start all over again:

At 10:00am I picked Yoko Rosedust up from the train station. Yoko once again take on the quite far journey only to be part of the Meet-Up. This fact makes me incredibly proud and in some kind it is very touching. p__q // Thank you so much!!! Back home, we chatted a lot and later on we dressed up for the Meet-Up.

I really wanted to take a photo of myself BEFORE I would come into rain. I'd put so much effort into my hairstyle that morning and in the end.. it was a mess. My Outfit for the Meet-Up was Angelic Pretty's "A La Carte Tea Time Going Out"-JSK - it just fitted so perfectly with the Cuperella <3

Yoko wore her new beautiful JSK of "Baby The Stars Shine Bright"

My lovely Don drove us to our meeting point, the main train station and there we'd met already up with three people. We waited and we were more and more Lolitas! As we left the main train station towards the Cuperella we were 12 Lolita's! This was just.. amazing! We were almost twice as much than during our last Meet-Up!!! <3
After a short bus trip and a pretty short stroll we finally arrived at the Cuperella. We were all delighted of the cute facility and about the really kind Cuperella-staff! ^___^

Chibi and her boyfriend, Kuraude and Rainyyuki

Deadromance, Adriana and Fraeulein_Elisabeth

yummey Cupcakes <3

Almost too good to eat them..

Yoko Rosedust

Buschwindroeschen, me and Mero-Chi

I really enjoyed my stay at the Cuperella and its pretty sure I will stay there again. Their cupcakes are really delicious and you can even order Kakao/Milk without lactose (YAY for Usai)! I guess, we spent about 3 hours in the Cuperella, shortly before we decided to leave for taking a few photos, two more Lolitas joined us. ^___^
But then, last but not least we finally got the chance to take photos, fortunately it wasn't that raining anymore in the evening:

In the meantime, some Lolitas already left the Meet-Up but we still did quite a lot of photos that evening (at this point, I want to say a huge THANK YOU to my amazing boyfriend Don who chauffered Yoko Rosedust and Fraeulein_Elisabeth in time back to the main train station!!!). I could upload and show you here really quite a lot of photos but I do not want to overload that blogentry with that many photos, so here comes just only three more photos:

Me and Kuraude
lovely red lady Kuraude

I really enjoyed the Meet-Up even if my state of health was not that perfect during the Meet-Up. It was awesome that so many Lolitas visited this Meet-Up and I hope that they all enjoyed the day more or less. I would be very happy to see each of them again during future Aix-La-Chapelle Lolita Meet-Ups! ^______^

All I have left to say for now is...

Pokémon Days 2012 Oberhausen

Hello my lovely mauw-mauws,

together with Kuraude, Don and Gia I'd visited the final stage of the Pokemon Days 2012 in Oberhausen. Kuraude, Don and I visited the Pokemon Days for the fourth time now, for Gia it was the first time.

I was quite under time pressure because I wanted to finish my newest Cosplay, Pikachu (Gijinka), in time for the Pokemon Days, and of course, I started creating the Cosplay again at last minute! Fortunately, I "only" had to create Pikachus tail, his ears and a fitting headband. This may sounds like easy and fast going, but the tail was tricky and costed quite a lot of time. But in the end, I finished everything in time and was then full of anticipation for the upcoming Pokemon Day (which would start in 14 hours XD).

At 12:30h we finally arrived in Oberhausen at the CentrO. Somehow we decided to chose the parking block which was the furthest away from the location of the Pokemon Day, so we had to cut through the whole CentrO-Mall (you have to know the CentrO is a very huge shopping-mall, I guess its probably the biggest in whole North-Rhine-Westfalia (NRW) and NRW is the most populated federal state of germany). So, we went through the CentrO - in Cosplay! Well, only Kuraude (as Pichu) and I (as Pikachu) weared Cosplays, but I guess you can imagine that we were a great attraction - but we felt very comfortable and (almost) everybody seemed to recognize our Cosplays! ^__^ "Hey, look! There's a Pikachu!" "Oh, a Pikachu!" "Is that Pikachu?!" "Ahh, look there are Pokemons!"

After 15 Minutes we get thorugh the mall to the other end were the Pokemon Day took place.

Like vultures we storm the area next to the truck were Nintendo shared two special Pokemons: A Keldeo (Lv. 15) and a special Pikachu (Lv. 100, holding the item "light ball" (Kugelblitz)). Due to the fact, Kuraude and I had already downloaded the Keldeo at this years Connichi, we could only download the Pikachu.

Next up the big Pikachu, Snivy, Tepig and Oshawott-mascots catched everybodys attention. None too easy to get great photos of them but Kuraude and I tried hard:

Pikachu and Oshawott - The mascots were SOOOO cute and cuddly!

Tepig and Oshawott even danced together, but I do not have a good picture of them while dancing U__U

With Snivy we even finally get the chance to do a photo together:

Later on, Don and Gia finally came back from their little "Shopping-Tour" and Kuraude and I met in the meantime two nice girls and chatted a lot with them. I really hope we will see the both again at a Convention! ^__^ After we had lunch we decided to take photos:

Come back inside the Pokeball, Pikachu!

And then it was tiem for a Pokemon Battle:
Gia Vs. Don

Gia: "Pikachu, now Iron Tail!"

- Pichu is defeated -

Don is pretty angry with his Pichu XD

It was a lot of fun to pose for this photos and anyway we all had a great day I guess. Shortly before we arrived our car again, we simply had to do a few photos at the pond right in front of the CentrO main entrance:

Back home again, we watched some Pokemon Episodes and the Pokemon Movie 14 (Black - Victini and Reshiram) and let the day slowly fade away...
